The course is e-learning only. A full competency assessment must be performed with a legitimate trainer to gain a driving permit A as a part of access permit.
The course is taught both in icelandic and english.
Students must achieve a minimum 80% final test score in the e-learning course. To gain Driving permit A the participant must also pass a competency assessment with 100% success rate with a legitimate trainer.
E-learning refresher training must be taken when an access permit is renewed.
Course description
Driving permit A is for individuals requiring authorization to drive on aprons, service roads and surrounding airport areas.
Goals:
- To know which areas it is permitted to drive in with a class A driving permit
- To acquire knowledge of the applicable rules and regulations at the airport
- To be aware of drivers responsibilities when driving in the airport area
- To have the ability to drive in the airport area in accordance with applicable rules
