The course format is both theoretical and vocational. It concludes with a competency assessment.
Students must pass a competency assessment and achieve a minimum 80% final test score in the theoretical part of the course.
Aiport Security Officers must receive regular training at their workplace. Re-training must be provided for any Airport Security employees that has been absent from their security duties for 6 months or more.
Course description
The course is for designed for individuals training to become airport security officers with dutys that do not involve screening with x-ray.
Goals:
The course defines regulations and requirements for aviation security, it outlines them and how they are met. Students will also gain knowledge, skills and abilities in aviation security to enable them to fulfill their duties to the required standards.
